Hour After Hour
Jeseppi Trade Wildfeather ©1993
hour after hour
sitting in this lonely place
thinking 'bout my life
and some things i would erase
in the quiet quite moment
when his words fall softly through
when my child the father speaks
can no one hear but you
there are many sore distractions
competing for your time
and many other matters
that would occupy our mind
he may come amid the turmoil
peaceful moments scarce and few
when my child the father speaks
can no one hear but you
may be people all around you
maybe you're on a stage
maybe you're on a battlefield
or locked up in a cage
maybe you're being counted
or being taken to the shu *
when my child the father speaks
can no one hear but you
many people have heard his sayings
and many have been healed
so few will ever know the good news
that our salvation has been sealed
while many teachers and preachers be strainin'
to hear his words so true
when my child the father speaks
can no one hear but you
